CELEBRATING MY SOUL
Life can be sweet or bitter sweet, the trick is to celebrate every little thing that you already have.
By recognising the many good things around us we can evoke more good things and make them part of us.
When we think of celebrating our lives, we usually think of life's major event markers, such as buying a home, getting married, having a child, or reaching a particular age. These and many other occasions are worthy of celebration with our family and friends. They’re records of our growth as a person, and the passage of time.
However... truly celebrating life means celebrating our soul FIRST! We must rejoice in the wonderful knowledge that we chose to arrive here on earth when we did, we chose the vessel, our parents, for whatever lessons or blessings we decided on. Our soul chose our body for many many reasons, some we may not even understand. Our soul chose every piece of us that makes us uniquely us.
When we accept and love, nourish, respect and celebrate our soul every day we will find our human experience will make much more sense and our achievements will be a lot easier to accomplish along our journey. If we are truly in tune with our soul and celebrating its unique place in the cosmos, then we will see more opportunities, more abundance and more of everything!
Like all celebrations. large and small, a certain amount of intent and ceremony is involved and the greater the understanding of these, the more open you are to soul celebration rituals, the more joyous your human experience will be.
Your stories live within your soul. Your past lives, your higher self, your spirit guides, everything that you are comes from your soul. And if that's not the perfect reason to celebrate, then I don’t know what is!!
Celebration is nutrition for the soul.
It feeds our optimism and zest for life by reinforcing gratitude for our many gifts and talents. It is a part of our most memorable experiences and permeates our daily life. It invites others to join us on our amazing journey and share our experiences. It is highly contagious in its ability to help others see the beauty and joy in their own life. It is a necessary component when seeing us through a challenging time. It is the counterbalance to feelings of loss.
Our human soul experience is meant to be celebrated, not endured. You must look for something to celebrate each day about yourself regardless of the bad day you think you had.
The happiest souls do not wait for a special occasion to celebrate themselves. They take time to celebrate the small moments in life as much as the big ones. They celebrate victory over challenge. They see a challenge as a gift to grow. They celebrate in solitude, with strangers, and, of course, with those that mean the most to them. This is how you build tenacity, strength, character, and strengthen your spirit. The more you celebrate who you are, the more you see yourself through difficulties, the faster the momentum becomes to attract more things to celebrate. It’s a win win…..like always attracts like.
There are many ways to celebrate your soul. Acceptance of the things we can’t change about ourselves aesthetically is one, honouring our temple is another. Not comparing ourselves to others, not devaluing ourselves by what we say, not wishing for something just because it’s different….it’s a matter of pure unconditional acceptance of who you are.
If your environment is not conducive to positive self belief then you must try and change that. If it’s not possible for now, perhaps your currently without funds, at the mercy of another….but whatever the reason, then you must take time out to expel the negative energies, cleanse and renew.
I know this only too well. Earlier in my life, I was stuck in a situation from which I couldn’t extricate myself. I was stuck in an abusive marriage with four young children and for their protection and happiness, I could not leave. More can be found about this story in my book "Counting Feathers". I was lost for a while treading water and dodging storms, I completely forgot to celebrate my soul, I was too busy polishing my husband’s. Eventually my soul gave way and broke, it shattered into a million pieces all around me. Because I allowed this to happen, it’s taken me years to mend it and put it back safely.
Meditation can also transform into a powerful personal affirmation tool that allows you to celebrate your individual and unique soul.
Maybe you’ve already instituted your meditation practice, and you’re looking to expand it. Perhaps you’re looking to start afresh. Either way, incorporating a celebration of yourself as part of your meditation practice will leave you feeling peaceful, centered and proud of who you are.
We are all stardust connected through our souls, here to learn about ourselves and others.
When you see your place in the world, when you see your unique value, when you embrace all that you are, you will see that life could not be celebrated without YOU!
Love & light
